As for Amazon only working with credit cards.no. What are you talking about? I'm on Amazon UK, I just looked up Rocksmith 2014, and the PC and PS4 versions (that include the cables) are in stock. The only way to play then is to download a cracked version with which you do not need the cable.
For non-Americans Amazon only works with creditcards, which are as rare as white buffalo around here. And this 2nd option would mean that this Steam release is a waste of money anyway. I found it supposedly being sold together with a hard copy of the game but the waiting period is 13 weeks The real tone cable is not sold separately here. I have waited for a year now trying to get this thing, but I am located in your average Western-European country and the real tone cable is nowhere to be found! I decided to dig up this thread just to say that this problem is a SERIOUS GAMEBREAKING ISSUE.
